So....I LOVE Patricia Polacco and the holidays are my favorite time of the year!! Many of her books are centered around the holiday spirit and the magic of family traditions. We've read many of her books in class and I can't pick a favorite.... but I would have to say, Thank You Mr. Falker and An Orange For Frankie are WAY up on my list! We had our 1st author visit this week! To introduce our author, Mrs. Kloczko was a guest reader in our class on Wednesday, and read Deck The Walls.... and the kids LOVED it! Then on Friday, Ms. Erin Dealey was kind enough to come and speak to our students at Star Academy and talk about what it is like to be an author!
